SUNNY & NATE
We’re Sunny and Nate from The Live Sketch Co. — a husband-and-wife team offering live guest portrait illustrations at weddings and events across New England.
Nate is a professionally trained illustrator, published graphic novelist, and experienced storyboard artist with work spanning film, television, and commercials. Sunny is a documentary-style wedding photographer drawn to quiet moments and honest connection. Together, we created The Live Sketch Co. to merge our creative worlds and offer something truly meaningful: live wedding guest portraits that blend storytelling, art, and celebration.

Our process is simple, seamless, and centered around your guests. Our hand-painted portraits offer guests a meaningful, personalized gift and a genuine connection to your day — all while adding a thoughtful, artistic presence to your celebration. The Process
Step 1: Book Your Date
Secure your date by filling out our inquiry form. We'll confirm availability and finalize details together.
Step 2: We Arrive & Set Up
We arrive before cocktail hour to quietly set up and prepare to capture your guests.
Step 3: We Begin Sketching
We take quick reference photos of guests who'd like a portrait, then sketch throughout the celebration.
Step 4: Portraits Are Delivered
Finished portraits are picked up during the event, with remaining pieces thoughtfully completed in our studio and sent after.
