Hello, we are
SUNNY & NATE
We’re Sunny and Nate, the husband-and-wife team behind The Live Sketch Co. Based in New Hampshire and serving Boston, Rhode Island, and all of New England, we create live watercolor guest portraits that blend fine art with a curated guest experience.
Nate is a professionally trained illustrator, published graphic novelist, and experienced storyboard artist with work spanning film, television, and commercials. Sunny is a documentary-style wedding photographer drawn to quiet moments and honest connection.
Together, we founded The Live Sketch Co. to merge our creative worlds and bring refined, editorial-inspired ink and watercolor portraits to weddings, offering your guests both an unforgettable experience and a timeless keepsake.

1: Guests Are Photographed On-Site
Guests are invited to step in briefly during the reception for a simple reference photograph, allowing them to return seamlessly to the celebration while their portrait begins to take shape.
2: Illustrated Live in Ink and Watercolor
Each portrait is illustrated live in ink and watercolor, capturing guests with an editorial, fine-art sensibility that reflects the atmosphere, style, and rhythm of the wedding day.
3: Portraits Revealed During the Celebration
As portraits are completed, guests are welcome to view and collect their artwork during the celebration. Others may simply enjoy the evening and receive their finished portrait afterward, without interrupting the flow of the event.
4: Thoughtfully Finished in Studio and Delivered
Any portraits not completed on site are carefully finished in the studio after the wedding and delivered to the couple, ensuring every piece reflects the same level of detail, consistency, and fine-art quality.
